A mouse in the kitchen is never just one. We clear mice from Sharjah apartments, studios and villas with discreet trapping and clean-up, then seal the tiny gaps they use so they cannot come back.
Mice are the most common rodent we treat in Sharjah's residential areas. The emirate's dense, older apartment buildings in Al Nahda, Abu Shagara, Al Qasimia and Rolla, along with the many studio and partitioned flats, give the house mouse exactly what it needs: food, warmth and dozens of hidden gaps to travel through.
A house mouse is small enough to squeeze through a gap the width of a pencil, breeds every few weeks, and contaminates far more food than it eats. That is why a single sighting usually means more are already nesting nearby. The lasting fix is to remove them and seal the gaps, which is also how our rat control in Sharjah works for the larger rodents.
Mice do not need a hole, just a gap. Finding and sealing these is the part that actually keeps them out, and the step most people miss.
The open gap around water and drain pipes inside the kitchen cabinet is the single most common way mice get in.
Worn gaps under flat and kitchen doors let mice walk straight in from corridors and shared hallways.
In apartment blocks, shared risers, ducts and wall vents let mice move between units and floors.
Gaps around the pipes and cables behind the fridge, cooker and washing machine, where it is warm and dark.
Unsealed gaps where air-conditioning pipes and cabling pass through external walls.
Partitioned and shared accommodation adds internal gaps and more food, so mice spread quickly between rooms.
Mouse control is about precision and sealing, not scattering bait. We treat the activity and close the gaps, safely around your family.
Snap and multi-catch traps set on the runs mice actually use, placed discreetly in kitchens, cupboards and along walls.
Enclosed, tamper-resistant stations for heavier activity, kept safely out of reach of children and pets.
We pack gaps with materials mice cannot chew and seal pipe, door and vent gaps. See our rodent proofing for the full method.
Droppings and nest clean-up, plus advice on food storage and gaps so mice do not return.
The house mouse (Mus musculus) is small, curious and a fast breeder, which is what makes a mouse problem grow so quickly if it is left. It is not the same as a rat, and it needs a different approach: more trapping and far more attention to sealing the small gaps, because a mouse gets through openings a rat never could.
If you are hearing heavier sounds, seeing larger droppings or scratching from the ceiling, it may be rats instead, and our rat control in Sharjah covers those. Not sure which you have? Our guide on telling rats and mice apart helps, and we confirm the species on the first visit.
Remove the active mice with targeted trapping, then seal the small gaps they used, around pipes, doors, vents and risers. In shared buildings we also check the routes between units. Sealing is what stops them coming back.
Usually because the entry points are still open, so new mice replace the ones caught, or because mice are nesting in a gap you cannot reach, like a wall cavity or riser. A proper inspection finds these and seals them.
